Variant of the composition first used for Tulips and Spotted Vase 1986, and several subsequent versions, the last of which was Still Life Tulips (1999), shown in Arkley’s final commercial exhibition at the Karyn Lovegrove Gallery, Los Angeles, in July 1999.
