A note on Arkley’s collection of comics

Not listed individually here are some 135 extant issues from Arkley’s collection, held in HAA and listed under Series 4: Source material: 4.1 Comic books, held in MS BOX 4273-4275 (noting the artist’s additions etc.); see also The Avengers, Feb.1986 [HAA 10.1.5]: several pages clipped (for details, see HAA entry). However, these are only part of a larger collection, much of it later ransacked by the artist for images (some clippings ended up in in his Visual Diaries).
