This work on paper is similar in scale to other examples from 1972-3, but it has a lighter, more whimsical character. The inscription indicates that it was made as a gift, but it remained in Arkley’s studio collection at his death.
Possibly but not certainly identical with the drawing documented as entered in the Ronald Prize 1973: see Magical Tango (1973?) [W/P] (unidentified).
