One of the ‘white’ drawings shown in the 2006-7 Arkley retrospective; here a series of forms is developed from straight lines and segments of circles.

This sheet in particular brings to mind Paul Klee’s famous Bauhaus teaching idea of ‘taking a line for a walk’ (well-known to the young Arkley through his wider reading: see e.g. Carnival pp.114 and 141).
