This work, shown in both ‘Mix’n Match’ (1992) and ‘Downtown’ (1995), re-surfaced on the secondary  market in 2005.

This particular painting is closely comparable with the work of British Pop artist Patrick Caulfield. However, Arkley appears to have based his composition on a page in his copy of Gold’s Instant Decorator (template no.14: ‘Boy’s Bedroom’).
